Vores-barndom.dk is a contribution to a marketing-contest that I made with my good pal Michael. diafuture.dk is a contest for students trying to prove their creativity. So this is our campaign with focus on video and the good story. Watch 'em, rate 'em, share 'em.
This talk is definitely going to be helpful in my upcoming project, and beyond. The irony though, is that I was watching the video instead of working on my project. But Seth Godin hits it spot on. How many haven’t experienced working on a project and then start feeling the anxiety coming up from behind you, when you are about 20-30% from launching your project? I know I have… but because of that anxiety, the feeling of actually finishing the project and actually launching/shipping the product is sooo fantastic. And that the key to remember: Winning over the Lizard Brain feels good. Overcoming fear feels good. And if we remember that particular feeling then beating the Lizard Brain gets easier and easier.
So… Just got the news from @mygdal that there will be no reboot this year. Sad, but true. One year without the craziness and genius that everybody bring to this almost legendary gathering… But hey, there’s still lot’s of brilliant stuff to explore one more time from reboot11
I had the opportunity to experience Bruce Sterling Live on Stage at reboot11. To be honest, I didn't know very much about him before but his views on people, life, the world etc. really makes you think. And he's funny too.
Last summer I went jobhunting for a job at a company I really like. They didn't have any open positions, but I decided to go for it anyway. I realized it was recession-times, so I had to pull it off quite differently... This is how I did it.
Did I get the job? No... but it gave me some excellent contacts which pulled a lot of freelance hours.
Yesterday I was doing something as oldschool as watching a TV drama! I was well caught up in the action and then: “To be continued…” ARGHHH. What’s going on? Where’s the next episode? Gotta go on youtube and try to find the next episode… Yeah, I know that if it was there, it’s probably not legal and I knew that it wasn’t because I was for the sameĀ broadcasting-network that produced the drama series.
But then I started thinking. Have YouTube changed the way we look at television? Have we become too impatient to follow a TV drama in the traditional way? “To be continued…” usually means that you have to spend 10-30 seconds looking for the next episode. YouTube have changed things around in many ways, but I think this is one of the biggest changes (and maybe an understated change) that they have played part in. And of course made us all addicted to videos with kittens and puppies.
Happy B’day YouTube! Can’t wait to see how the media-picture looks like in another five years.
